YARN.  In stock and ready to crochet or knit! Wool, cotton, acrylics and blended fibers are available in beautiful colors and feel soft and wonderful to work with.  Look for future knitting/Crochett circles and classes. View our selection of yarn here.

...Miscellaneous

“CALICO”—this is not a fabric or cat but a fun and easy board game!! And yet, it does involve cats as you use tiles to make a quilt and try to get the cats to snuggle on it. It is available on Amazon.com.

KERRY’S BOOK CORNER: This month’s recommendation is “The Dressmaker of Khair Khana” by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon. This book is the true story of a woman and her sisters and how they used their sewing skills to not only survive, but thrive in Afghanistan during the first Taliban invasion. Not only is the story of the business they formed compelling, but it gives a vivid picture of
what life was like (and is again) for Afghan women. It is available on Amazon and the Albuquerque Public Library.
